On December 5th, 1946, the career firefighters of The Larchmont Fire Department received their Certificate of Affiliation from The International Association of Firefighters. The Larchmont Professional Firefighters received the designation of Local 895. There were eight original members that signed the charter.
We are proud of our history and strive to uphold the standard of professionalism that the members before us set. We are indebted to the service of these charter members.
